Do's:

• A proper Visa to enter and stay in Bangladesh is a must (For international students). Make sure all your documents are complete and secured.
• Make sure all your academic documents are valid and approved (local students) by UGC of Bangladesh.
• For international students it is recommended to carry a photocopy of the data page and Bangladeshi visa from your Passport at all times, alongside copies of other important travel documents. Local officials may ask for proof of your identity. Keep the originals separately and leave copies with trusted friends or relatives or locked in your room.
• Follow the campus rules and regulations of your institute.
• Your attire should be decent and respectful of the local customs and values.
• Take personal responsibility for your travel choices, safety, finances, and behaviour overseas, including obeying the country's laws.
• Protect your Passport and report it promptly if it is lost, stolen, or damaged.
• Ensure your Passport is valid (with at least three months' validity from your planned date of return and will not expire while you are in Bangladesh.
• Always walk, drive, and park the car in well-lit areas. Walk close to the curb. Avoid doorways, bushes, alleys, and dark parking lots.
• Try to walk in pairs. Avoid shortcuts and other deserted places. If there is any suspicion of being followed, change direction and head for a well-lit area with other people around.
• Keep essential medicine in your residence for medical emergencies.
• Keep small valuables like wallets, purses, mobile devices, money, etc. nearby. Do not leave them unattended; every individual is responsible for the protection/safety of personal belongings.

Don'ts:

• Don't break the law of the country and offend local people.
• Don't enter places like masjid or any other religious places without moderate dressing and shoes on.
• Don't walk over or touch books or newspapers with your feet.
• For Bangladeshi people, they are an image of God's learning, considered blessed.
• Please don't drink alcohol in public as it is strictly prohibited in Bangladesh.
• Don't involve in politics.
• The use of any type of narcotics and its trading inside and outside the campus is strictly prohibited.
